Here is another configuration. Which allows me to have 3 separate area, a mini gym, a sitting area and dining.
Wonder if this would work. The entrance will be met by a glass block wall.

2nd Appointment

We had our 2nd appointment today. Meaning 10% down. All by CPF. Yay! Next appointment (like in 2016) will be for key collection Insya Allah.

For the New Home -Wands

Finally, after the end of Ramadan and 3 weeks of Syawal, we get the chance to visit the Harry Porter Exhibition.

And we bought Dumbledore's army wand set for our new home. :) . Obviously we will keep them in box and will not be sewing this till we moved in. That will be in 2016!

First weekend of 2012 Eid Mubarak

A week has passed and we are on the 7th day of Syawal. Cakes and goodies ready. Waiting for guests to arrive. Roti kirai with Chicken Curry is on the menu.

Selection Day

I arrived at HDB at 9am. A bit KS la. But needed the time to make sure our unit is unobstructed from the tiny models.
Then AM arrived shortly to my relief. We took our queue number and while waiting, still considering our options for other units. The end we are happy with 654.

The process went smoothly due to my obsessed preparation on things to bring. We opted out of the finishings which wouls cost us additional 10k of 2 options. And no grant given as we dont qualify. Signed lots of papers and paid 2k for the booking. Yay! the unit is red now.
Means booked! Smiles smiles...

On your mark

Greetings!
Welcome to this blog. I was researching on home design and when I googled, I was grateful that some of the bloggers posted pictures of their before, during and after process of renovations. That gave me ideas on how I want to do up my upcoming HDB flat. InsyaAllah.

Apart from that I will also be sharing my journey on the preparation of my upcoming wedding in March. Again good source of ideas, suggestions and resources I found of other people's blog.
And of course everything else that comes in between leading up to the day I move in to my new flat. Honestly, I am not expecting anyone to read and comment. But if it helps anyone out there who is searching and going through the same journey, why not. This is my give back. To start this blog and post my journey until then.

Background
I am 35years young woman living in Singapore. Single for now, Malay-Muslim. My work profession is in Events Management company. Although I major in Information Technology in University. Living with my family, Father, Mother and 2 other Sisters in the East area of Singapore.

I recently got engaged to a wonderful, jovial guy, two years older who sees everything as a new experience. AM's attitude infected me. And now I see every experience as New! even the old ones!
